Helix Nebula (The Eye of God) My friends told me yesterday that I should combine my new song Gates are open with an old one called Obliteration which has a good beat so this is my attempt at that. Also took the advice from some people here that said Gates was too long. I squeezed all the chord progressions to fit into 2 minutes somehow. Enjoy :)

catchup while i can. you come up with a lot of great backdrop ideas, but, and this is just me, i think they'd be a lot more interesting if you threw in some "surprises" every now and then. a normal sound here, a weird one there...anything to spice up the backbeat now and then.
as is, it's like once you've heard part of the song, you've heard the whole song. there's no "look forward to" sections and your basic beat goes to waste.

I kept this one simple so people could hear the chord progressions because they are pretty unique. You are right though it could use some bass or synths popping in and out to counterpoint the strings and some variation on the drums. It's kind of a work in progress still. Thanks man! -UB
