BOOGA-BOOGA!! Yes, I'm still amongst you, and I wish you all the merriest this Christmas season (I honestly do!) Well, this has been a very interesting year! In summary (and I capsulize these epochs at the risk of boring you--or worse!):
* Thanks to my partner, who was heavily involved with local theater here in Birmingham, Alabama in the past, I've hooked up with a local theater group and am currently engaged in what they call "apprenticeship". This involves being involved in rehearsals when the lead actor/actress is not available and reading lines back to the other aspiring Olivier/Dench; singing where it's needed, and sitting at the piano when they need that too! I'm learning how to use my body on stage and what to do with my hands. I've no formal acting ability, but I guess I'm doing okay---I'm pretty "natural" (so I'm told--frankly, my "acting" ability falls in the range somewhere between Shemp Howard and Teenage Ninja Turtle #2). I've also been working with a new vocal teacher (a male this time!) and while you won't find much exemplary here---he's been teaching me some new things!)
* On the downslide, I've lost some of the feeling in the last two fingers of my left hand (of course, I'm left handed). This is due to some pinched nerve in my neck of some sort. Some of you may have noticed I've been favoriting you, but not taking time to write--this is why. I've been doing some prescribed exercises and it's better, but I still may need an operation to remedy it fully ("Hey, what kinda operation are you bozos running here, anyway?!) Related to this, forgive any typos!
* On the ever popular mediocre side, I still don't know what the fook I'm doing on the recording end, so hope this is at least okay!
I'd like to thank JD: he wrote me a just a couple weeks ago asking if I was okay. James, you don't know how much that brightened my spirits; you really are a fine fellow indeed.
To you all: MERRY CHRISTMAS (yes, I know it's tough lately, especially with each passing year), but MERRY CHRISTMAS, daggummit! And enough BS from me!
Michael
"Let it Snow" was written by that unforgettable songwriting team of Jules and Styne (they were terrific!) in 1945.
Accompaniment: My main man, musician extraordinaire, Alan McPike.

According to your header I'm so happy you found such a good way of passing time as you have in your Theater work( sounds ideal for you and you must be so happy). Thanks for the explanation on your two fingers as I'd wondered if it was through over use, with there being such bad drivers down those parts LOL.
A wonderful rendition of this great Christmas song as ever, so pro sounding and sounding as good as ever vocally. All the very best to you and yours, regards M.
