Hey Gyp

 Genre: Rock

Get Flash to see this player.

I've been going through live Groovehounds recordings and tweaking mixes ... there's not much I could do with this mix except pretty well leave it the way it was... this one is in that two chord style of Bo Diddley ... originally recorded by Eric Burden and the Animals around 1966 on the Animalism album, it's a fun tune to jam to when we play live. I don't think we have ever played it the same ... always a new adventure in sloppy 2 chord rock....
This is pretty raw but what you hear if you caught us playing one our pub gigs.

So this is the title..
Wow, I've heard this before but didn't know the title.. I love the 'shave and a haircut 2 bit piece' Bo Diddley rhythm as they used to call it. I think you got a fine mix here- the drums thump wonderfully, you got to the essence of roots rock and roll..fine dirty vox.. Applause!!

Hey Gyp
Early Belfast Van with "Them" springs to mind as well. Raw and raucous. Real rock. (un)Real recording. I gonna buy you a Toyota Yaris doesn't have the same ring... :-) Thanks, guys. Regards, Peter.

Good Song
But actually the original recording was by Donovan who wrote the song. This is a very good rendition.

As you know, I don't listen to a lot of this kind of music, but this was a pretty cool performance. I DO LIKE the 2-chord routine. One wouldn't think that would work so well, but it does. Great vocals on this track, too, and the guitar work is first rate. Coming from a classical square, might I say, "You guys rock!"?

about as good a version as I have heard on this tune... and I've heard or played lots of versions on this dude. I dig the room tone.
