Description
A parody of the version created by Producer Bill Szymczyk which managed to win a Grammy. This version is optimized for guitar. Hopefully you will find some hours of enjoyment playing your axe against this backing track.
The tune features minor harmony and is in B. This version is 88 BPM. The chord structure of the original is straight forward. Because this version features three keyboards there is a lot of liberty taken with the original chord sequence... the hard part about this one is not the minor harmony, or the daugy voicing anyway. As the chords go by you have to anticipate the change of F# minor to Gmaj7. This is the turn around section. To succeed on this one play inside on these chords.
Included on both ends of this memorial track you will find contemporary voicings in the tonic. These are like book ends for the masterpiece. The chords are diatonic to B minor and feature some hip voicing. Attempt to follow the scalar motion. Once you get that under your fingers improvise. You will find it impossible to play clams if you stay inside.
Once you have the book ends down in B, modulate your response to the chords a fifth up or forth down. You will find a whole new sonic dimension... continue to modulate as suggested... viola! The star cycle appears...
Have fun and work hard. The King did.

Lyrics
First TV appearance 1968 "What is your goal?" "Play the best I can. Reach as many people as you can in as many countries... In other words, I'd love the whole world to be able to hear B.B. King singing and play the blues."

the thrilling Blues Boy is gone... Daug - great take on this old favorite. BB would be proud...
