I live a life in roses
Thorns sticking in my side
Barefoot, Walking on glass
Hoping to hitch a ride
No Mountains I can't climb
No limits, only skies
Pushing big assed boulders up the steepest sides

One more night- On the edge of a knife

I seek, always running
Ball bearings in my shoes
Feel the heat, on the blacktop
Burning, blacked and blued
Won't give up any answers
Can't stop to find a clue
Still- I reach out my hand, and touch the skies with you

One more night- On the edge of a knife
One more day- One last life
better make it right

repeat chorus

Hard-driving backing and plenty of energy in the vocal. I love the rises and falls of the solo. Impressive!

thank you both
as some older Macjammers might remember, i started out here in 2007, as a solo artist, singer/songwriter. then i met Jason Whitman, and we wrote several songs as the duo, Montgomery California. in 2011, i started my journey back to live performing, in Another Dark Day, and then to my own fronted project, Skin of Saints.
in 2016, for personal reasons, i have gone full circle, and am now back to doing things solo, once again. I have made some great friends in our northern California music community, which affords me the opportunity to have guest players of Billy's magnitude come on board and enhance my works, but i must say, getting back into recording, writing and performing at home, and being a solo collaborator is once again very refreshing. thank you for your kind words, and encouraging critiques. once i get back into the swing of things, i hope to post more and more pieces of newer works, as well as remixed and revamped songs from my catalogue that i feel deserve a fresh coat of paint.
Mac jams has always been a great place with fun, creative and positive people within its digital doors. and since my domain has always been in the hard rock/metal world, i hope to enhance and flesh out the sometimes under represented genre here.
thank you all for always being here to have an ear and a kind word!

Big fan
of your guitar playing. I really like this song and how you always include nice changes through out. The vocals are outstanding. You've posted this before right?

Great driving guitars and double bass! I was however expecting more contemporary growling vocal and not the slightly eighties sounding chorus. The two styles jar a little for me. But the guitar work is flawless and that solo is to die for.

I'm an old school guy, with vocal influences of Geoff Tate and Dio. so i do tend to wear my heroes on my sleeve... with this one, i am attempting to merge a vocal heavy style with a more modern riff section. there is a new trend of great singers emerging in hard rock and metal, and my hopes are that soon singers will once again be able to use their instruments to their best abilities, just like the resurgence of shredders.
thanks so much for taking a listen, and hope you will return again for more new music.

Plugged in
High energy output!

The music and singing snugly fit together here, never one crowding out the other.

Since (in general) we improve with time, practice and experience, it makes sense to revisit some of your earlier work that you were less than satisfied with. Why not share them here?

I'd suggest you also post the lyrics for us folks whose ears have been over-shredded by time and experience : )
