I know ... Groovehounds have done it again ...posted a cover ... we're bad ... but every time you listen those girls up there are going to spank us for posting this song.

Now I can get on to doing some guitar work on Sammy's new tune

Last Friday's jam... Rob stated playing the chordal thingy on the bass and we got all excited had a beer and started jamming ... but we didn't have words so Donnie opened his laptop and we found the words via google ... had a beer... set the laptop on a stool and Rob pushed record.
I added some EFX and a hint of strings during mix.

damned nice rendition, but the harp is what pushed it over. Really cool space in the mix.

You should have gotten me to do the "colored girls" parts and pitched my voice up an octave. haha

New tune is mostly done except for your parts and I'll send you and updated, cleaner mix this eve.

Can I kick it?
Great cover! Great sense of space in the mix. I like the sirens and incidental sounds, they work really well. Felt like the guitar could be a bit higher in the mix?

Those girls look like they'd like a beer, too. You guys might just about hit it off. Spacey, creative, understated interpretation of a classic. Really like it. Harp seals the deal. Thanks, guys.

yeah...the harp
but gooly gee, the rhythm guitar snap-dap-pappin' and the street noises, all just touches, but points on a masterpiece. great delivery vocal...yeah sammy, layers of backing vox need MORE layers of do de do de dos..space in the mix...something i would do well to learn!!!
