We've had a sharky summer, and perhaps some people might want to take advantage of the situation for their own devious ends ;)

You won't be surprised that it's all me on this.

If you go swimming on a moonless night
Make out your will just spell my name right
Big fish swimming and it’s great and it’s white
It won’t take much just one little bite
Way down deep but just out of sight
Not really friendly and not that polite
Swimming around with not much to do
He’s got his eyes on you,
Eyes on you

Chorus: | Am | Am | Em | Em | Am | Am | Em | B7sus4 |
He’s got his eyes on you, cold eyes on you
He’s got his eyes on you. cold eyes on you

Leave me the keys to your fancy car
I’ll take it for a drive but I won’t go far
Or if you’re riding on your motor bike
I’ll take it for a spin, it’ll be alright
Just don’t worry you can stay where you are
I’ll be heading off to the nearest bar
Riding around with not much to do
I got my eyes on you,
Eyes on you

BRIDGE: | D9 | D9 | Dm9 | C#6 C#M7| x2

You dive down deep while the world’s asleep
It can be it’s own reward
Trick or treat while they’re counting sheep
There’s no time to get on board

We can kill two birds with just one stone
I can drive you to the beach you’ll be all alone
No moonlight in the pitch black sky
Dive right in now don’t be shy
Big fin slicing through the water unseen
I know where you’re going ‘cos I know where you’ve been
Feel a bit guilty to be having this dream
I got my eyes on you,
Eyes on you

Chorus: x 2

though the chord progression is not uncommon, I like the way you used them here. It just drives the song. Didn't quite get ~1:50 where the melody didn't seem to match the chords, but I think that would gel over multiple listens. The lyrics had just a touch of 'spookiness' in a real life way.

I like the forward feel of the chord progression and the drive you work off it, Neil. Nice chorus hook. The bridge certainly provides a contrasting section to the insistence that is the hallmark on the song. I like the lead-break, too. Not overdone. Just in the groove. Good song. Interesting lyrics. Polished performance all round. Thanks. Take care my friend. Talk soon.

Cold Eyes On You
Characteristic sound to the backing and the vocal. Engaging lyrics. Good variety in the arrangement. A high harmony in the chorus might have added something (a bit of terror to go with the spookiness)? I like it a lot!

You've convinced me. We've HAD this conversation. I won't ever come to Australia. And I DEFINITELY won't come and swim...

This is an interesting mix because when I first tried to listen to it on the MacBook Pro, those little speakers COMPLETELY stripped out the bass, and this mix/arrangement NEEDS the bass. I love the full, no-treble tone of the bass, which I think works here.

I also like your solo. I think your solos have gotten tighter and more focused over the years without losing interest.

I like the chorus. I like the left turn in the lyrics at the second verse, making the listener who thinks he or she knows where it's going go, "Wait...what?..."

I'm still making my mind up about the bridge...

Always, always, always good to hear a new song from you...

hey Neil love these lyrics there's a dark humour to them I can really relate to! Like the way the bass drives this along and the great solo. Good work. Cheers Mark

Nice work Neil!
Love the song and performance. I want to say "presence", but the vocal is hard to hear in the mix at times. I know we want to keep it warm, so maybe nt presence. Just up a lil on the lead vocal. Much enjoyed. Thanks for sharing.
