Gotta Step It Up
Love the bass and drums that sit underneath this. Smooth arrangement, emotive vocal, stylish playing. Impressive!

I hope 2016 and 2017 have seen some positive changes from your 2015 experience!

Steppin' it up
Hi Philip.....Things have stabilized for the most part. And certainly gives me more time to make music. :)
Being a drummer for so long I really appreciate the bass and drums driving the song. It also influences the way I play keys...thank you for the props

I can feel
The frustration coming through, fortunately it makes for a great composition. This tune has a nice "pick up the pieces" feel and a never give up attitude. The recording is exceptional, vocals sound great! Hang in there and thanks for sharing.

Great tuneage!
Sorry it arose from such a troubled time. I sure hope your life has gotten back on track.

Anyway, this is an excellent arrangement and very well produced. You do indeed ROCK!

Be well friend!

'70s lounge...
...in a very good way. The percussion/bass backing is really terrific on this track. Bring out the disco balls and start dancing. This has an awful lot going on in the background (terrific piano, for instance) that's easy to overlook, but it's there adding to the whole feeling of the number. You've really got a good number here and I enjoyed listening to it very much.

70's Lounge
Thank you Paul.
As you probably figured out by now, I love driving a song with the rhythm section. I played in a big show band years ago and it made a really big impact on the way I compose songs. Sometimes I over do it a bit, but I love having those layers of sound stacked on each other rhythmically playing off each other. If you liked it, I guess I did it ok.

Gotta Step It Up
Great to hear a positive musical response to adversity, Dan. Infectious grove, inspiring lyrics, impassioned vocal and a great rhythm section. Here's hoping things have turned around. Take care. Thanks.
