Lazy Peaks

 Genre: Acoustic

It's been a hot lazy bank holiday here in England, ( we do get them sometimes!).Just back from a nice week off work up in the Derbyshire Peak District with my wife. Trying to bring some of that relaxed mood home I started some chilled riffing around in dropped D and layering over the pieces. It seemed to suit the mood of the day. Didn't feel the need to do anymore with it and for now it's just a laid back instrumental piece. Headphones on, kick back take a slug of something cold and enjoy. Cheers.

Open tuning, open air, open mind
Very nice feel. Beautiful recording. l am at work now so I don't have a guitar by my side to pick up and play along, but I wish I did. I'll play it again when I get home.

Peaks and Valleys
Lazy stuff? Like Chet kinda aint it? Well, maybe the chunky rhythm part? Lots of space here for additoinal improv, or maybe more vibes? A curious piece of music but inspirational none-the less, inspirational music at MJ is rare indeed!
Thank you for sharing your music with us here. Your efforts are appreciated!

Don't really need a slug of something...
this piece suffices. VERY laid back indeed. Nice full yet crisp tone herein. NICE!

Be well friend!

Room to hear
I like the way you did't attempt to fill out every space with a bunch of notes. I admire those guys that can play a million notes at light speed but sometimes we forget that it is about music and not technique. This is enjoyable music and was a nice listen.

...This track invites many additions, but subtle ones so as to not bury the cool vibe this piece gives off just as it is. You are pretty spare within the spaces of this track, leaving lots of room to kick back and just enjoy the sound. Nice.

Late to the party
and it's so relaxed I'd want to stay around longer.

Nicely subtle and yes, it does work well with headphones.

Sounds like a perfect day Mark. This song would be a good candidate for a collaboration.

Great open sound
Nice and clear, it's a lovely relaxed piece. I can see myself sitting on the porch staring nosily at the passers by and not giving a damn!
