Well first off this was written with tongue firmly in cheek. But earlier this year I had a lot of crap coming at me from different sources and let’s be honest there are times when its easy to think
“ah fuck it all”. Thankfully things have now greatly improved but the song still remains and it seemed a shame just to leave it on the hard drive!!
After some valid comments about balance and a glitch I took it down to sort them out. Hope this one is better

I’m thinking about having a breakdown
I’m thinking about a total withdrawal
I’m thinking about having a breakdown
Stop beating my head against the wall

Some of this stuff goes back to childhood
Some of this stuffs from last week
All of it simmers just under the surface
Thinking too much can bleak

I keep dragging round my invisible elephant
I think I should give him a name
His rope gets longer and then it gets shorter
And round we go once again

Some call it resolution some call it closure
Let it all go, decrease my exposure
Leave him at the zoo, goodbye Jumbo
You’re far more toxic than a Disney Dumbo

Need to keep these thoughts out of my life
When the suck me down and draw me into the night
It’s easy to say but it’s harder to do
When Jumbo leaves a pile by the gates of the zoo

Glad to hear
things are improving for you Stan. A tune like this is a fine creative way to blow off some steam.

Don't think I heard the first mix, so I can't do a comparison. I'll only say that this sounds superb.

Be well friend!

That's the beauty of music, you can put all your troubles into a song and deal with it.. :-) music is a healer.
Can relate to the words, but every dark cloud has its silver lining
very much enjoyed

Invisible elephants
"I’m thinking about having a breakdown." Yeah, me too. I'm not dragging the elephant. It's dragging me, and maybe it would do me good to stop paying attention to that. The bliss of ignorance beckons. Much enjoyed, and glad to hear that things are looking up.

like how you hum in the background, and the horn, watch out for Jumbos pile, when I read the lyrics I imagined the song in a different way but when it started I was pleasantly surprised awesome song!

I think we have all felt similarly at some stage, Mark. Great to hear music worked as an antidote. The song rolls along beautifully and the arrangement embellishments work a treat. Thanks. Take care.
