Baby Girl

This is a song I wrote for my wife. It's pretty simple arrangement. A guy pawing at the piano, trying to make it sound like an actual instrument, and then singing on top of it.

The photo was taken while we were having Tea at Harrod's back in 2005. In her element, England, hot tea and cakes.

I hope you like it.

Happy New Year!

Baby Girl

I lie in bed, I watch you sleep.
You touch my soul, you touch me deep
My Baby Girl

You lie in bed, gold in your hair.
Afraid that you;ll vanish, into thin air
Away you’ll go.

Everybody wants to make you money.
Everybody wants to steal your honey
Whoa, ooh, ooh, ooh, whoa, yea.
They want you to think life's a tragedy,
But the knife in your back says it’s comedy.
Whoa, ooh, ooh, ooh, whoa yea.

You’re the beat inside my heart.
You make it stop, you make it start
My Baby Girl

If ever I lost you I would die.
Every night and day, I would cry
For My Baby Girl.

Sort of Tom Waits meets Randy Newman. Emotive vocal, effective backing. Good one.
