Drowning (Angry Blue Planet track 9)

Get Flash to see this player.

This is the ninth track of my RPM challenge project Angry Blue Planet.

This is another somewhat experimental piece. Just vocals, piano and a synth drone. I actually recorded the voice first and then put in the backing, which is why the vocals are a little all over the place, but I was going for something a little less structured. Kind of an off balanced feeling. Hopefully, it works.

The only track on the album that doesn't use any guitar, BTW.

Hop you enjoy!

There is a moment
when the world is quiet and still
I feel the beat
of billions of hearts

Chasing a moment
trying to catch my breath
watching the waters close

Everything’s changing now
Let’s give a hand to a drowning world
Carry a torch into
the dark

Everything’s changing now
The water will recede
and wash the pain around us

There is a moment
when the world is chaos and strife
I hear a million
voices cry

Catching that moment
molding it into a dream
making our voices
heard on high

Everything’s changing now
We’ll give a hand to a drowning world
Come through the darkness
and see the light…
