That was quick
I didn't have to fight or resubmit or anything. Anyway, the usual suspects here: me, David McNair on drums and Tom Hellstens on mixymastery stuff. It's a rock mantlepiece!

A rock mantelpiece indeed
Excellent work chaps. Really nice guitar playing and a good song to boot.

Come as you were not as you are. Love it!

Cheers

Thanks Dick
I think it's one of our better ones. It took a lot of pruning to get it to this stage, but it was worth it.

MInor Blues Update
This is a treat. Thanks for posting your material here with us. The production on the track is fab. Inspirational material!

You're welcome, Daug
And thank you for your assistance all those years ago. You and Sam gave me confidence when I needed it. The song was requested by David to try and replicate the feel of "Fade to Black" by Metallica. The original sort of followed the formula, but after much recording I realised it wasn't working and went for a blues feel, which is far more successful.

Turn onto success!
Realizing when something is not working and making a course correction is a great way to explain the old musician's saw: when something just won't work, we can always make a minor blues outta the turkey, lol!
Your skills have grow so much. Few people here could conceive this track. To have pulled it off with the apparent ease and grand style shown here is impressive. I know you have worked hard to get to where you are on the production side. Keep pushing, bravo!

I really
like the sound of your voice here. First thing to hit me. Funky-groovy with a classic rock feel.

So good, you liked it twice!
I seem to do best when I'm in character, in this case, a sneery chorus. (In another, a one - eyed brain in a jar.)Ta for stopping by, Sam.

Excerpts in Tatertown
It's just an excuse for vegetables to dress up. But I think I should probably write a screenplay.

Thank you, Vic
I can't say I'm keen on my own vocals, but I think the other bits are pretty good. I like the calm bits which are followed by flurries of guitar and drum activity. I don't know what it means, but it sounds good.

Come as You Were
This grabs you from the get go. You just know it is going to be good from the first bars. Fine guitar work and great choice of tones. David's drumming adds so much. I like the vocals! Especially the layering. I agree with Vic re the mix. Lovely balance for such a complex arrangement. One of your best for mine, too. Thanks.
