Too much electric guitar?

Description
I haven't uploaded anything for several years but I got a Guild 12 string acoustic and started messing around with a few arpeggios. One thing led to another and I added some bass, midi drums, midi cello and perhaps a bit too much electric guitar! I decided to upload it and revisit some of my favourite Macjamers to see what they've been up to. I'm glad I returned!

Can you have too much electric guitar?
I love the 12 string sound and you've used it really well here. It could have been longer in fact. A bit more 12 string guitar!

Cheers

Hello Dick
Thanks for listening. I will keep going with this one and dial down the lead guitar a bit and bring up the acoustic content. I'd like to turn it into an actual song but as FR David once said "words don't come easy to me" and vocal delivery isn't a strong point of mine!
Cheers

Big Noise!
Pleasant track, the production is clean and suits the material well. Not breaking any ground, but doing a nice job on the guitar! Perhaps the song started to move into new sounds at the end there?
Nits? The snare sample is too familiar and I am one to insist the snare is up in the mix, perhaps too much snap on the snare here? Altering the snare pattern in a novel manner might help? I am going to guess that the track sounds much better on your DAW, and that the culprit is once again the Itunes compression.
Thank you for posting your tune here at MJ. Fab to have another talented player posting, keep 'um coming!

Thanks Daug
You make a good point. As a nonn drumming individual I do go for a stock drum loop or midi pattern to play along too and then never go back and fix the drums (probably a lack of confidence to get in there and moves the hits around to generate something more original and fitting for the final feel of the tune).
Thanks for the tip,
Cheers

Hello Vic
I'm hoping to turn this into a song if I can get some lyrics together (usually a rate limiting step for me). Maybe someone can help me out if anyone fancies a collaboration?
Best wishes
Steve

Love playing acoustic guitar especially in open tunings (CFCFCF being my favourite). Every so often I’ll have a go with my electric guitar and even more rarely try to sing. Fan of Bert Jansch, Beatles, Ralph Mctell, Mark Knopfler, Nick Drake etc. ... [see more]
