When it’s all too much
When it hurts inside
It’s okay to run and hide

Hide
When the world inside
Is more appealing
Than the one outside

It’s okay to run and hide
When it’s ll too much
When it hurts inside
It’s okay to run and hide

Come the day, freedom beckons,
All it offers – broken dreams and empty coffers
You could say at least you had some time alone
You could stay, wait inside the safety zone

I don't know why
But suddenly I got an Edgar Allan Poe vibe of this, slightly creepy in parts, only updated for a public a century older :-/

Well, that didn't make much sense I guess, but still much enjoyed :-)

Thanks and take care,
Henke

That's interesting
Even as I recorded this I wasn't sure what it was about. It's only months after that it has started to make any sense to me. I now see my music as a sort of early warning system. I think there's a whole other song waiting, based on the Eastern sections of this one. No doubt it will emerge when it's ready. Thanks for listening.

I
love the melody; one of your catchier ones. The music backdrop was full of surprises. More of the unexpected.

Chic and ...?
I don’t know why it flips from disco to Persia, but it seemed right at the time. I like that it’s unexpected though. Cheers, Sam.

Its tones remind a bit of The Beatles around Sgt Pepper time. Interesting arrangement, good use of the different instruments/sounds. I like it!

Logic instruments
are really cool. I used some of the Persian ones here. They sound fairly convincing, unlike many of the traditional orchestral sounds there. Thanks for listening, Philip.

Thanks, KC
I was aiming for 70's disco, but I'll take 60's, as it was the era of The Classic Single.

A little bit
of THE DOORS, JETHRO TULL and GENESIS, at least for me.
Very cool Graham.

The bass really drives the song but doesn't sound "overblown". Lots of diversions into musical nooks and crannies along the way. Very interesting tune. I think it holds together very well. Impressive. Thanks. Take care.

Not quite my best instrument
since I fixed the Ovation's tuning issues (truss rod adjustment), but I like it a lot. Thanks for listening, Peter.
