The stars guide our way back home
As we trip across life like stepping stones
Feel the warmth from your body
Happy now I am somebody
You tell me all your hopes and make plans
You smile as I take your hand
These days can slip so easily by
So hold them in when you close your eyes

We can brave the sands of time
Together we're strong, we can walk the line
Share with me all your dreams
I’ll keep them safe like a memory
The stepping stones will always lead me back to you
If I wander too far away
Like our own special path the rough with the smooth

It's not long now till we grow old
Always hold me close so we never feel cold
Want to gather life in my arms
Just like an armful of laughter
Throw it around to share in its wonder
Maybe we'd learn to walk slower

These days can slip so easily by
So hold them in when you close your eyes

Repeat Chorus

Beautiful piece of music
Upbeat with a intricate melody. Digging your vocals and harmony. Nice acoustic guitar break. Enjoyable listen.

Nice and bubbly
and very refreshing. Nice lyrics and musical performance, though I would have liked your vocal up a tad in the mix.....enjoyed very much, regards M

Stepping Stones
Smooth flow to the music. Warm lyrics. The vocal tone and the backing synth blend into each other a bit - needs the vocal up or some eq to distinguish the two more. Tasteful solo and nice keys to take the song out. I enjoyed listening.

A wonderfully flowing song. I love the doubled vocals throughout. Gives kind of a 70s vibe?

Eh, I"ve downloaded your song and ran it through the EQ from Logic. You are pumping a lot of frequencies 8k-10k in the mix, and then there is a total dropoff at 16k or so. For my taste you should go a little easier on the high frequencies. What plugin are you using?

A sort of mixture
Both relaxed and yet full of energy.

Nice to see Mel is still writing good lyrics.

I am simply a music lover, all kinds of music ranging from classical to hard rock. Unfortunately I do not play any instruments nor can I read notes. However, that has not stopped me from composing songs of my own. I normally create my melodies ... [see more]
