Description
This is a song I wrote back in the early to mid-sixties. It has lyrics, but I can't sing them the way I'd like them to be sung, so I played the melody on the guitar. I'm not up-to-date on genre designations, so I used pop as a sort of catch-all.

Very nice!
Very attractive combo sound. Great band, awesome guitar tone and sensitive playing and I like the sax. Great dancehall slow dance track

Gentle flow to the music. Good use of different instruments. Easy listening (in a good way).

Hey Herb...
This is very well put together. Halfway through I forgot where I was and almost ordered a drink! ;-)

Take care!

I like your guitar phrasing. Somehow it (and the song as a whole) made me think of the Shadows.

Oh, just noticed that you actually wrote this in the 60s. That fits.

Thanks, Vic. When I first saw your reference to The Shadows, I thought you were referring to a band that competed with one I was in in Little Rock back in '59-'61 or so. Then I googled the group and found that I remembered "Apache" (on YouTube), if not the name of the group itself. I appreciate the fact that their bass player, like a lot of ex-guitarists back in the day, played the instrument with his thumb, which is what I have been doing since I started learning to play bass 13 years ago. I guess anything that works is okay--even Brian Wilson did it that way. Still, I'm practicing using my fingers now--and playing barre chords on the guitar (I used the old thumb-wrap for most of my life). It's good to challenge yourself, even in old age--and playing barre chords with arthritic hands is a definite challenge! Thanks for the listen and the comment.
