You HAVE found a voice!
Yeah, a musical voice if not a vocal one. This has a gently melancholy feel to it that is very strong without any vocals. Proves that you don't have to write a song to write worthwhile music!

No commercial loops?
Commercial samples were employed and not many people really care in MJ land anymore, but at one time there were two camps on that... loops and no loops and no communication existed between the groups. In commercial music loops and samples are everywhere.

The template for your production is fine. What you have included is just as effective as anyone else's material.

I personally do not like the bass line. I like bass to drive the track and indicate the tonality. Yer not driving here , ya got a minimalist thing established and yer perhaps not certain what tonality you want or maybe don't know how to keep your feet in two key centers at once? I can't tell. Maybe yer sample bag is thread bare? Whichever, please allow that if yer gonna make contemporary commercial music yer gonna have to fix the bass lines.

I would suggest rhythm guitar so dominate in a mix currently exists nowhere else except Nashville Country. Nothing wrong with lots of rhythm guitar, just have to be certain in a commercial sense you got the idea that if the template yer using does not conform to the genre specific bag yer writing for the demo is going into the trash in five sections if the A&R even picks up the file- the instrumentation must be per formula.

A picture with a maiden in the water on the label and conformation to the lyrical imperatives/demands of the genre are necessary for A&R listens.

Your demo has to look right as Millennials hear with their eyes. A demo has to sound right lyrically. It has to conform to the mores on the instrumentation of the day as well. Yer getting better keep pushing...
