This is an updated version that includes some changes based on the feedback I received from some MacJams members on my initial version. I see it more as background music rather than a song. The accompanying image and the sound inspiration are from a whale-watching excursion while I was on a high-speed inflatable boat in Cabo, Mexico. When we weren’t bouncing over the waves or stopped waiting to see if a whale would jump out of the water, we got to listen to the noises the whales make underwater. The counting near the end represents the many whale sightings that occurred while watching the horizon with the boat's engines turned off.

Not at all what I expected when I read "Film Scoring"!

Very cool rock. The lead licks herein are awesome...

Rockin' with the whales!

Thank you for the endorsement! Maybe "film score" isn't quite the right category. It's more of what could be background music to a video exposee on a whale-watching excursion in a rather fast Zodiac Boat.

I live in Salem Oregon and go to the coast a couple times a year primarily for whale watching. So this tune hits close to home.

Sound like you are in the room next door, or from your description maybe the ocean next door. Great chops.....cool piece.

really enjoyed this and I can see (sea?!) where your coming from in terms of a soundtrack or theme. The description really helps to anchor the visual imagery to what I am hearing. A really great tune. Much enjoyed. Cheers Mark

Thank you! It was meant to give the feeling of skimming over the waves while watching for whales as well as to mimic the sonar-sounds the whales make. I'm really glad that people are getting the intended imagery.
