Description
started as an attempt to do something that would sound like it came from the "Forever Changes" album by Love. Failed on that score, but I like the interplay between nylon string guitar and double bass (albeit MIDI double bass). As per Mr Daugrin's advice on previous, I tried to improve my vocals with the auto tune feature in GB, but it didn't work as I think I mistook the key.

Latin Thang...
Auto tune is a pain in the ears to get to work, I think it has great humor value all the way out. You did a great job singing this one. Not an easy piece to read!
The guitar and bass are playing great together on this tune. You are a skilled player! Horn might be a bit soft in a synth like nature? What you laid down supports the mood of the piece, which is miles ahead of most productions here!
Pitch challenge in the vocals is not distracting from the quality of the work. But I have to offer some more suggestions on what to try as I don't think you are happy yet with the vocal template you have at hand.
Might attempt to compress this vocal once more? An add some eq around 4k. Better, I would go word by word and use the volume automation to enhance the start of the words and vowel sounds. This is an awful lot of boring work but will improve the listenability. Yes, engineers do this instead of using gain riders or "depth" treatments. It is the old fashion way.

Well constructed song
I'm not sure why you're worried about the vocals as they work really well.

Lovely laid back feel with lots of interesting interplay between the instruments.

Cheers

Dick

I too am a fan
of "Forever Changes" era LOVE. I agree that you fell short of that goal, but what you DID attain here is quite nice Charlie. Brushes were a good call!

Kudos

I honestly never thought of John Martyn while doing this, but it occurred to a few days after posting that it clearly has been influenced by him. I was an enormous fan especially Solid Air and Bless the Weather.
