This is a blank comment title.
I don't know what it is, but I can't live without it. This may become my new theme song. I love the tone you get out of that slide.

I know what it was...
had several number station pieces started. I was working on the series when I learned that Phil had died, this was a few months ago, anyway, I lost sight of the project.
Phil's demise bothered me a great deal apparently and I started a bunch of projects, where I had too ideas going at once and I could not stop the flood trying to get out.
So I am working really hard banging out these things on the piano and then today... well I saw the interactive piece on the list of the time machine I use to archive, I was looking for a sample set, anyway I changed gears and brought out this piece. So there ya go.
The tone is a Marshall 50w with my #1 Bitch front pickup most of the tone rolled off. It's my voice for the Duane sound...

Lots happening...
Well, ya know an interactive digital number station that evaluates listener social performance is a busy idea. Thanks for hanging out with me. Appreciate the remarks.

Hey Dick just a minute
Think this through with me, we can try to answer your question. No new members are admitted by admin. There are no longer sock monkeys or meat puppets in play. The Musician lifers still post here but the Wanna Bee types, or low skills types, no longer post because the quality of material posted is too high for them to feel comfortable in sharing their stuff. Additionally, no one is ever gonna use MJs as a platform to break into any audience, so, there are no commercial adventures hawking their band, solo material, or production for pay skills.
Who is left now besides musician types? Loopers still appear but this is greatly diminished due to the loops conception becoming stale over time. The production house leaguers? Still present but this an expensive hobby, as opposed to people who create their own material. MIdi Giants? Yes there are still some midi only artists working at MJs, but this field is diminished as again the real musicians have raised the bar so high.
I assume the 30 or so of us still here are going to keep the lights on just barely. Imagine the place without the high volumes of great material gifted by the prime ten or so people. That is where everyone has gone... Most of the community were never here to begin with, as the fake MJers outnumbered the real ones, and the casual MJs types never had the passion necessary to commit to being part of the community.

Good points
For some it's simply a matter that they don't write anymore. It's like a relationship where initially everything is wonderful but gradually you get used to each other and eventually you're going through the motions and don't have the energy or desire to make an effort. The casual MJers..

Thanks for the response!

Silence is Golden
What that indicates is that I posted a process track instead of final mix track. If I am not paying attention I post the wrong track, it happens a lot. The final processing suite and accompanying eq I would normally accomplish is not present on this track... just little bit raw I guess. Shit happens...
Thank you for following. There is so little traffic at MJs the few of us that remain have to work hard to keep the place earning clicks or the venue will disappear....

Been here since the place opened. I hope you enjoy yourself here at MJ. In fall 2009, I erased the 60+ tunes I had posted since day one. MJ had changed, becoming hateful and repressive, and I needed to respond appropriately. What happe... [see more]

Genre Info
Experimental music is any music that challenges the commonly accepted notions of what music is. There is an overlap with avant-garde music. John Cage was a pioneer in experimental music and defined and gave credibility to the form. As with other edge
